CEEP, the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services

CEEP is the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services. It was founded in 1961 as the representation of both enterprises and national associations of the public services sector in Europe. Being the association of public employers, CEEP is one of three European general cross-industry social partners and represents public sector employers in the European Social Dialogue.

The German members of CEEP are organized in the German section of CEEP, which is called Bundesverband Öffentliche Dienstleistungen (BVÖD). They aim for a coordinated and effective representation of enterprises and organizations responsible for the provision of public services in Germany – communicating via CEEP to the European institutions.

CEEP’s members‘ activities range from transport, energy and water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment to housing, telecommunications and other public services. Further information can be found in the 2018 CEEP activity report.
