Municipal utilities stand for high-quality, resource-saving infrastructures for the supply of power, gas, district and local heat and water and for an environmentally appropriate disposal of waste and wastewater.

The Position paper for the legislative period 2009-2014 shows the crucial significance of the municipal economy for a stable and sustainable economic development and indicates the obstacles with respect to economic governance.
